Chemical Peels
A Fresh Start for Your Skin
Introduction
Chemical peels use carefully selected exfoliating solutions to help improve the appearance of uneven texture, dullness, acne, discoloration, and fine lines.
Not all chemical peels cause visible peeling, and a stronger peel isn't always a better peel.
At Ridgeview, your treatment is selected based on your skin concerns, sensitivity, treatment history, and goals. For many concerns, a series of lighter treatments can be a great way to work toward gradual improvement.

FAQ’s

Not necessarily! Some chemical peels cause visible flaking or peeling, while others produce little or no noticeable shedding. The amount of peeling isn't necessarily an indication of how effective the treatment was.
-
Lighter peels focus on more superficial exfoliation and generally involve less downtime. More intensive corrective options may involve greater skin shedding and recovery. We'll select an appropriate treatment based on your skin and goals.
-
Depending on the peel, you may experience temporary redness, dryness, tightness, flaking, or peeling. Some treatments involve minimal visible downtime, while others require several days of more careful recovery.
-
One peel can help refresh the appearance of the skin, but concerns such as discoloration, acne, or uneven texture often benefit from a series. We'll discuss a reasonable plan based on your skin's response.
-
Sometimes, but the timing matters. We'll discuss your current skincare products, recent treatments, and goals before recommending how to safely space treatments.
